Edmonton to have 2 LGBTQ bars this summer as Evolution Wonderlounge begins move

For the first time in nearly a decade, Edmonton will have two male lover bars this summer.

Evolution Wonderlounge will open a brand-new location on Jasper Way and Street, as its downtown location on Lane near Avenue winds down operations.

&#;It forced us to start looking around so we found this cosmos, so we&#;re like, let&#;s just do both at once until the lease runs out,&#; Evolution Wonderlounge co-owner Rob Browatzke told Global News.

The new exclude will take over the Reign Premium Lounge & Kitchen, which has been sitting vacant since January.

Browatzke said he got the call from the landlord that the space was available. The new room will be renamed &#;Evo&#; and it comes with new opportunities.

The Wîhkwêntôwin location will offer two floors for dining and events.

Edmonton’s last remaining gay prevent, Evolution Wonderlounge, is on the move from its current home of 12 years on Street to Jasper Avenue, hoping to take advantage of the new space to enlarge its community.

    Weeknight music is dictated by you, with our TouchTunes jukebox, controllable by an app right from your table!
