In celebration of Pride month, we compiled a list of the best Fresh lesbian, gay, transsexual, and queer films you can watch on Netflix right now. You&#;ll find Netflix originals (like recent documentaries Circle of Books and A Private Love) as well as award-winning theatrical releases.

The titles below are sorted from the best LGBTQ films on Netflix and ranked by adjusted Tomatometer score (which takes into account the number of reviewers weighing in, and the number of reviews per motion picture for movies released in a given year). To be included, films had to have a Fresh Tomatometer score (60% or above).

Critics Consensus:I Am Michael takes a determinedly balanced approach to its complex subject, and although the results don't always append up, they're anchored by solid work from James Franco.

Synopsis: Based on the fascinating, true-life story of Michael Glatze (James Franco), a gay activist who becomes an anti-gay Christian pastor. [More]

Why simply marathon a pleasant television show when you could marathon a excellent lesbian show on Netflix or a show with some element of lesbians, trans people, bisexuality, pansexuality or queerness within it? Netflix&#;s original programming is chock full of LGBTQ-inclusive TV shows, lesbian series and wlw TV shows, and although they also host a variety of content produced by other studios and networks, this list is focused on TV series developed by or in partnership with Netflix, because those are the shows you can mostly expect to come across on Netflix channels worldwide and indefinitely.

Because we are a website for LGBTQ women and trans people of all genders, that&#;s the type of visibility we&#;ll be highlighting here, today. There are over Netflix original shows with LGBTQ+ women and transsexual characters and here is our guide to the ones with the most queer content and/or overall quality. If you&#;re looking for the best of what&#;s out there, glance out for the *Best Of Netflix* indications.

30 LGBTQ+ Shows Now Streaming On Netflix To Watch This June For Pride

Okay, we’re starting with Sex Education, because it is my favorite show on this list (perhaps currently on TV) and if you get nothing else from this list it should be WATCHSEX EDUCATION. The British dramedy centers on Otis (Asa Butterfield, aka the boy in Hugo), a high college student who decides to make some extra cash productive as a sex therapist for his fellow classmates, as his mom (played by The Crown’s ibble dibbleing Margaret Thatcher, Gillian Anderson) is an actual sex therapist.

Better than a thousand YouTube tutorials or Cosmo articles, this entertainment dives into all of the nooks and crannies of sex, highlighting homosexuality, bisexuality, pansexuality, asexuality, douching, scissoring, masturbation, fellatio, crossdressing, erotica, roleplay, fetishes, vaginas with teeth, and yes, even heterosexuality (boring, I know). Otis’s friendship with his gay bestie Eric (the LUMINOUS Ncuti Gatwa who should be the lead of at least 15 shows by now) is a beautiful depiction of allyship, and Eric’s relationship

Finding good queer media is hard. Sometimes you’re looking for a good fantasy show that happens to star a lesbian guide. Other times, you’re looking for high drama featuring gay romance, or a sitcom with trans advocacy. We know it’s difficult to fight with streaming services’ slim LGBTQ categories, and more difficult to disseminate what exactly is LGBTQ about them from brief descriptors. It’s even more challenging to stay unspoiled if you yearn to know what you’re getting into before you dive in.

As such, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite LGBTQ shows currently on Netflix. Each show here features a queer character in a starring role, most with ongoing storylines throughout the series. There’s a petty something for everyone, from lighthearted animation to prestige drama, and we did our best to comprise a selection that represents a wide amount of the queer community. We’ve also done our foremost to include why each entry made it on the list without giving away too much—some of these storylines don’t arise until well into the series, so we wish for to keep you as unspoiled as possible.
